Our wonderful friends at Portland Community College-Sylvania Campus is offering TWO FIRST Robotics Summer Camps!
This year, the camp has been reformatted to give students more relevant skills in a shorter time frame (7-1/2 days). The camp begins with 5 days of machine shop training, and finishes with 2-1/2 days of maker space skills. An agenda of the daily activities is attached for your reference. You will receive credit for a 1.5 credit shop project class (MCH 157) upon completion.
The only expense for participating students is possibly parking or transportation costs on and to PCC’s campus. This program waives about $150 in tuition and lab fees per student for the course!
- June 20th-June 29th – all gender
- June 27-July 7th – girls only
Students who wish to apply need to first obtain a PCC student ID # and request “no degree seeking”. This allows you to avoid taking a required PCC new student class. This process takes a few weeks and must be done before you can apply.
