Portland area FIRST teams,
I wanted you to know that we will again be teaching the 2009 PCC Machine Tech Robotics Shop Training Summer Camp this year!
Through generous support from PCC, and Barbara VanAmerongen, PCC Sylvania’s Dean of Instruction, Jeff Triplett, Dean of Math and Industrial Technology, and partial funding through Todd Sanders, Mechanical Engineering Instructor and Principal Investigator on a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant. PCC and NSF will be covering the cost of the camp and associated college credits.
The three week camp will run from July 20th through August 7th. It is open to 20 attendees. Priority will be given to two attendees from the first 10 teams applying, followed by open application after June 1st, 2009. All of this is outlined in the attached application document. Please have students read it cover to cover before starting the application process.
Please feel free to disseminate this information to the public and to the teams.
We look forward to another great summer with the students!
