FIRST’s mission is to build our future workforce by inspiring young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting hands-on, project-based learning programs that build STEM proficiency.
We are seeking local industry professionals to mentor a FIRST robotics Team. As the keystone of our programs, mentors and coaches work with team members during the build season, designing, building, and fabricating a functional robot for competition. A mentor’s expertise is the catalyst for students’ success, and inspiration for pursuing a STEM career. Mentors enable both students and adults to appreciate the value of sportsmanship, teamwork, and Gracious Professionalism®.
