The Society of Women Engineers – Willamette Valley Section has joined the FIRST Scholarship Program and will be providing a FIRST Scholarship for 2013. They are making available three non-renewable scholarships for $1,000 each.
The applicant must be a female high school senior planning to enroll in a four or five year ABET accredited engineering program in the fall of 2013 with the intention of pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering. Additionally, the applicant must currently live and attend high school in the Willamette Valley or Central Oregon Coast regions.
The scholarships will be awarded primarily on the basis of scholastic achievement, school/community involvement and work experience. However, other required application documents will also be heavily considered.
Applications must be postmarked on or before Friday, December 14, 2012.
