We asked FIRST Teams what they thought of the game. Here is what FIRST Team 955 Crescent Valley High School) wrote:
The 2012 FIRST FRC Kickoff was a typical FIRST event, filled with anticipation, excitement, and tons of hyped up teenagers brought together by robots. Crescent Valley Robotics is pumped for this year’s game, which has been described as “robot basketball” by senior Danning Y.
Everyone at FIRST Team 955 can agree that Rebound Rumble is going to be a cool game; however, everyone seems to have differing opinions of what the hardest challenges are going to be. One of our newest recruits, Fauzi K, thinks the hardest part will be “getting the robot to shoot the right way,” while junior Eddy S thinks it will be the Xbox Kinect. He describes it as the “wrench thrown into everybody’s works”. No matter what people consider the biggest challenge Rebound Rumble presents, one thing is sure: this FRC season, like always, is going to be filled with work, reward, and fun.
