Get Involved

Since 2001, we have been delivering robotics programs to youth and inspiring students across the state.

The Oregon Robotics Tournament and Outreach Program (ORTOP) implements the full continuum of FIRST programs, a hands-on learning model with proven impact. These programs ignite an interest in STEM and foster a sense of belonging and community that each student carries with them into adulthood.

Each year, ORTOP collaborates with more than 1,000 volunteers, engages over 2,500 students, works alongside 640 coaches and mentors, and assists in the organization of roughly 65 events that are attended by hundreds of spectators.

Commitment to Equity and Diversity

ORTOP is committed to removing financial barriers for students and communities who have been historically excluded from STEM educational and career opportunities. We provide financial support to underserved and marginalized communities and collaborate with culturally-responsive community partners and volunteers who reflect the lived experiences of the students we serve.
